Why do we do what we do? What is our goal of having “church?”
This is what Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20:
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
This is one of Jesus’ last instructions to his disciples, before His departure into heaven.
It is our mission to make and mature followers of Jesus Christ.
A disciple is someone who is a student of someone else. A person who sits and watches the master, and seeks to emulate exactly what they do. Here at New Life, that is what our desire is as well. We want to help people find and follow Jesus, at whatever stage they find themselves.
Seekers, Atheists, Agnostics, and everyone else is welcome here, as we seek to find and follow Jesus Christ.
John 8:12 – “Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
